Started removing all paint and rust. Need to remove SS trim on outside side windows. Would like to do it without major damage. Any advice??

It's kind of a pain to do, you are best off to remove the window glass and get the vent wing windows out first, then you slide the little union piece over to one side and start lifting up one end, and work your way around the glass frame, making sure not to use too much force and kink it. It is possible to get them off with the vent wing windows in place but it's a lot harder and risks damage. The moldings might be very slightly "sprung" once you get them off but they'll go back on and retain their shape.
