Here’s a 1960 Starliner I’m redoing. I painted it but the goal was to make it look worn in areas so it matched the original aged trim and chrome. Some may scoff, but ask me if I care. It was pretty humble when I started. It’s been a fun project , but a little trying at times.

Nice! I always liked the lines and curves of a Starliner.

I like it, have a soft spot for those cars. When I was in high school a local farmer had one like that with the 360 horse motor, it was a legend that I never saw. Supposedly the cops took after him one night and in the hilly areas of SW IA he was leaving the cops behind one hilltop more every time they came to a hill top. I hope that read correctly:)

Found one over twenty years back at the edge of a field. Got the owners info but never followed up. Probably would've been fairly inexpensive. Wish I would've brought it home. I love the styling.

Nice car. Haven't seen one in years. A friend drove one for a few years after high school. Always liked the look.

  8. Probably the most under appreciated Ford ever. I really like these. Good luck with it.

They are beautiful cars. Back in '61 dad was going to buy a new car. Us kids were lobbying for a Chesapeake blue Starliner. What mom got, a black 4dr Galaxie, 292, Fordomatic. I did get to drive it to church if I went. In the late 60's Glen Guthrie drove one. It made a real good looking stock car.

  11. Like my '59 Ford, a 1-year oddball car. I like how they look and all the ones up north got et up by the rust. I believe the claim to fame with the '60 is that it was or still is the widest-bodied car ever made. I had a friend in HS, his dad had one with a 223 and automatic. Rusted up to the door handles but ran great.

Personally, I'd polish the trim and chrome rather than weather the paint. Those are definitely one of a kind.
