  2. Dodger,
This is from one of Doug's posts on the "Does anyone know Fisher Coach" thread-

"Fisher built bodies for Dodge Brothers from 1924 to at least '26. My '24 DB coupe has a Body by Fisher stage coach on it."

  7. Happy to help, Dodger- usually it's me getting schooled by you :D!!!

What's really cool is that this may be a rare sedan- Fisher-bodied Dodges are fairly rare to begin with, but the sedan is "elusive", as Doug puts it

Can't confirm, but read that the Dodge Brothers used Fisher bodies from 1920 to 1928- have seen a '20, a'24 and a '25, but not a '28.

  8. Well I bought the 60 Pontiac. $275. only vehicle I bought. The doors wouldn't open and the trunk the same. Its fun to see what might be stashed in there?[IMG]

  9. Maybe you'll find Jimmy Hoffa in there?

They may have used multiple suppliers? I had a 1927 DB 3-window coupe that had a Budd body on it.

  11. Like Dodger said- mostly Dodge Brothers or Budd bodies (my dad's '28 Victory 6 is an all-steel Budd body), but some Fisher bodies were used as well :)

It's my opinion that those things we grew up feeling were not cool rarely become cool. Some of us who didn't grow up around these things find them cool because they're unique. I grew up thinking most everything from the 70s up is not cool, but the generations that have come after don't see it the same way. Kids now days don't like the food and drinks I grew up with and I can't wrap my head around it. But then I like things that those before me didn't. Seems to change from generation to generation.

  28. I suppose thats as good explanation as any. I just can't imagine thinking old school buses, COE trucks and milk trucks could be considered rod material and there are several guys on here that love those old things. I guess to each his own is an appropriate response.

  29. That's my friend Jerry's Kool Bus. He built it to just haul his friends around in. He drove it across country, and on the Bonneville salt flats. Also takes it to schools for the kids to take rides in. They love it. Who knows, they may be some future Hot Rodders one day? He took my daugther to school in it about 20 years ago, or so? It's just a lot of FUN!:) He did save it from { sitting and rotting } ! Ron.... 20170818_081616.jpg 20171020_143453.jpg 20171020_145732.jpg
