The 64/65 Chevelle sedans have a distinctively different body line at the forward top end of the quarter panel.

The Z-16 cars had a very specific trunk lid ID trim.

An SS&DI shot of the '64's engine compartment, and the mods done to accommodate the engine setback.

One of the many centerfolds I've saved, cars only! Probably still have the issue it came from, I Need to find it.

Please look for the magazine. That may be the best picture of the car I've seen. One of my all-time favorite racecars. Thanks for posting that.

Hey Drag, the worst part is that there is no identifier on the front or the back like other mags. Most of these same era mags are together and I recently transferred them to plastic containers from the cardboard boxes. Wish me Luck!

Grumpy went to Mopar then:oops: but redeemed himself later;)

Yes, saw the Doc Burgess "Black Arrow" car at the local strip. I believe Grumpy was involved in it at some point. May have been a Jenkins Competition decal on it, but my mind could be playing tricks on me. Maybe I'll find a pic of that in my other quest, who knows?!

Jenkins drove the Black Arrow as well as work on it.

  14. Kind of branching off a bit here but I was curious if his old shop on Balt. Ave was still there. His son Bernard took it over and the name was changed to Supercar "Automotive" from "Engineering". I do not know if he still owns it or not but I found a few shots of it from 2008-2016. A few old cars still in the yard.

The Z-11 engine package was noticeable by a 2 piece intake manifold. A divorced valley cover with water cooling passages and a raised manifold with 2 carter AFB carburetors. The magazine photos from "catdad" show it clearly. It was "W" engine only.
