Does anyone have ideas or options for something different in a 33/34 other than the stock dash ? Am I the only person that thinks its somewhat out of style compared to the sleek lines of the body itself. It seems somewhat 'blocky and bulky' like it belongs in a commercial truck rather than a car. Anyone have ideas / input on this ? Or if its been discussed previously please lead me to the link. Hope I don't offend anyone. Thanks.

get some general ideas there, on what shape, what era, glitzty or plain, then maybe modify one, or build one using those ideas.

    Here is what I did.

  8. Not the best picture. I flip the cover 180 degrees and welded it to the dash then molded it in. I put the ignition switch in it.

I made my dash from a scrap piece of sheet aluminum and a one inch arbor with a scotch brite disc on it. 12143170_10206789870618696_659685834437392368_n.jpg

I thought the stock 34 dash looked just fine, although this one is going into my Model A coupe.

I found this on line while looking for the same ideas. It's a 58 Ford truck dash trimmed down to meet the 33 dash. Way cool.

  22. That's my dash, found the gauge panel on Ebay Australia already made to suit a 33/34 dash. About to change it up as i rebuild the car, gonna use this in a 34 pickup next.

Does anyone know if a 33/34 Ford truck dash will bolt up into a 33/34 Ford coupe? They look similar to a 32 dash....

  24. I never liked the shape of a 33-34 dash so I used the top rail of the ford dash and welded it to the bottom of a 34 chevy standard dash. A Champion dash insert turned upside down is a pretty good fit in the chevy dash. 34dash.JPG 34gauges.JPG 34headerp2.jpg

I really like this....is that the top half of a 33/34 and the bottom half of a 32?

That’s kind of what has been floating around in my head, however you did it Aarestor it’s beautiful!

Yes that is what i did, had a 33-4 dash that the bottom was cut out and a 32 dash that had a ton of holes drilled in the rail so I just put them together.

I'm in the process of trying to fix this mess. Does anyone have a idea where I can get an insert to cover the majority of this or possibly a pattern file that I can have cut to cover this up? 20200117_100738.jpg 20200117_100742.jpg
