I have a box full of NOS standard ignition distributor caps but can't figure out what the correct application for them is. 3 different 12 cylinder caps and 2 different 8 cylinder caps. I'm guessing the 12cyl ones might be Lincoln, Cadillac or Packard. I didn't come up with anything from google. If someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

    12 cylinder cap part #'s: AL-93, AL-94 and AL-79

    8 cylinder cap part #'s: DR-403 and AL-88

Those 12 cyl caps may fit American LaFrance v12 fire trucks. A SWAG only.

Back in the previous century when I was a part time parts man at Basolo’s in Muskogee, SMP was one of our main lines. In SMP, if I remember correctly, it has been fifty years, lol, All GM part numbers started with DR(Delco-Remy), Ford/FD, Chrysler/CH. So... AL could be American LeFrance as S55 mentioned as they did have 12 cylinder engines...or it could stand for AutoLite. It’s been too long and I don’t have an old SMP buyer guide.

I’ve got some old Standard catalogs. Email me those part numbers and I’ll look them up later when I get back to the office. Today’s our first day back to work after the holiday break and I expect we’ll be quite busy so it might be tomorrow before I can look it up. Send to [email protected]

That last one IIRC looks like the one I had on my 1932 Hupmobile F222. I believe also fit some Auburn models.
