I have one that was mounted that way when I got it and have had no problems.

 

That is a stock type 32 mount built from a truck pump. I'd love to try it and save a couple hundred bucks for a set of repops. I'm sure I could figure it out if I had an old pump here.

Just wondering if it's all cutting or cutting AND welding.

 

They look like proper '32 mounts, but the original mounts have been cut off the water pumps for appearance

 

yes it seems too good to be true. myself and a couple other guys must have misinterpreted his IG pic and post.
