Correct, it was a Thames Panel. He restored as original as possible, even buying a few parts from England at exorbitant prices cause he couldn't find engine/trans. parts here at the time.
I've wondered what happened to his cars after he died. (1) Anglia, (2) Thames, (2) Austin Americas.

This is a good time for me to post a picture of an Anglia I own for which I'm seeking any history. It was Detroit based, all steel and was powered by a 265 SBC. The previous owner acquired it in '66, sold the engine, and disassembled the car, storing it in his garage attic. He remembers nothing about the original owner. The only distinguishing marks on the car is the name "Tom Mills" spray painted on, and holes torched in the sides of the firewall cowl area presumably for header exit.

030.jpg Don't know if I put this one up yet. Late 60s or early 70s, in the pits at Windsor Dragway .

  21. A couple of snapshots I took at the old Myrtle Beach Drag Strip around '67 or '68 before it closed. Was the car name "The Hustler?" Dunno, can't entirely make it out.

"Bad Trip", long time SoCal car. Don't recall the owner/driver. Always a clean car.
