stuck hours away from my shop I have been following " iron trap garage" and a young fellow called "macro machines" on youtube. anyone else got any recommendations... btw. if you love fabrication have a look at " this old tony" not hot rod related but very well done . funny guy who shows the good with the bad. in fact I find that these vids are way better than the fake tv shows.
@IronTrap is Iron Trap Garage. Eastwood Tools Jedi Master. If the other two are half as good, I'll be happy for your sharing them. Thanks sir !!
This old Tony is probably the best film maker on Youtube, he only puts out a couple of videos a month but they are of high quality and very informative. There are other car and truck guys I watch but not very HAMB specific. There are some great machinists on there who take the time to film their work to teach others. Tubalcain, also known as mrpete222 is an old shop teacher who is really good at teaching machining too.
I know it ain't what we are actually into, but I've watch these guys doing a great project in the UK called Project Binky. The work that they do is well worth watching for inspiration and learning. Oh and it does qualify within our year limits; Mark I Mini: 1959–1967. The production version of the Mini was demonstrated to the press in April 1959, and by August several thousand cars had been produced ready for the first sales. The Mini was officially announced to the public on 26 August 1959.
ill check it out. thanks... what a wonderful tool youtube is. always amazed at the info on there and how much time i've save getting prepared for jobs.
This another one I check out every once in a while. It is not always about the project subject but what you can learn and glean from the work that they do which helps to add new dimensions to how we approach our own project builds. search Urchfab on YouTube or start with this link where he is working on modifying a 1959 Ford 100E sedan
Project Binky is definitely worth a watch. Lots of insane fabrication and design skills, plus hilarious presenters.
My neighbor across my back alley posts under Throttle Stop Garage. He does incredible work on a Volvo Amazon. Sent from my SM-T350 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Not really a build thread but is the late hamber Bluto and was a man of many talents and drove the one and only 328 BMW that won the Milla Miglia in 1940 and more recently times was show at Goodwood. HRP
From Canada, Cold War Motors on YouTube is also awesome. They do some hilarious things, but aren't too over the top or corny. The dude on there can make some really good sheet metal shapes with the most basic of tools. Highly recommended.
