This is a very cool car. Any pics of the engine? Would be interesting to hear exactly what year the brake parts are from if you end up needed replacement shoes.

Its great to see a T. They seem to have disappeared.
Is that a model A axle?
Why change the brakes? just drive it.
    Is it a T frame?
    I have a 26 coupe on an A frame

If those disc brakes work- why change them? Rather be safe!

  10. She is built on her original frame with what I believe is a 40 front axle and 33 34 wishbone .The rear axle is 39 40 ford with torque arms to the driveshaft .
I am going to change the oil and old gas and see if I cant get her fired up .
The car ran when I put her away , was going to drive her in 2016 but wouldn't start so she sat for a few more years .
Hoping to be able to attend the big modelT meet in PEI Canada in july .They are expecting 200 model.T's on the Island !!!!

I too, would leave the brakes alone. They don't detract from the car, and no one but you and Henry Ford will know they're there.

I would assume that it came off the same car the motor and transmission came from. That's what they usually did.

I love Ts, especially tourings, so yours is great in my book.

IMHO you should install those later wire wheels for the higher speeds and side loads that are possible if not probable. I'd kinda worry about the discs overloading the stock wires in a panic stop too.

Some bolt-on speed equipment would be very kool eventually.
