I’ve had my 64 since ‘05, back before I bought my first house where it hibernated in the garage for 12 years. It sat outside at the new house (garage is still packed from moving) for another year until the day after The Wheels of Time Show last August.... I did a 10 day driveway thrash on it to get it running and she made her maiden voyage to the Gasket Goons Hot Rod Bash!

To me those year Chevy IIs look best with a low key color instead of a flashy color.. Grey primered with a set of Baby Moons, black steel wheels, blackwall out looks best to me... I've never been a fan of flashy paint jobs, I like to let the body lines do the talking..

My 64ss with 15x7 steelies, lowered about 2”. I cut one coil off of the front springs and had the rear leafs de-arched 2”.. I installed a CPP Mini subframe kit with the upper control arms. It’s an otherwise fairly stock car with a 194/Powerglide combo, drum brakes all around, and 3.08s.

Talk about sleepers; those 4 door, boxy Chevy II/Nova's had to cause some "issues". I had a 63, Model 300, Wagon with a 360HP 327, beefed Powerglide, and 4.88:1 Positrtaction. It was a street racer, and the 5.0 Mustang and Z-28 guys always had it handed to them. It was fun, but it really needed better brakes. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Boy that wagon has been done quite differently from other two door conversions I've seen, is it yours?
    Edit
Now I see that it is not a conversion but a sedan with a wagon roof.
I like it, my first thought was that the back window treatment reminds me of the British built Jensen Interceptor.
Do have photos of it from other angles

Actually, I don’t believe that is a wagon roof. It’s either another sedan roof or possibly a Corvair roof grafted in. Beautifully done..! The only problem I can see is all the hard to get to space behind the back seat. Even if the rear decklid is functional the opening would be quite limited. A fold down seat like the a Wagon, Corvair, or Barracuda has would make access a bit better and it may be done that way. From this one picture it’s not possible to tell.

Been working on buying this one for over a year now. Been sitting and rotting for over 20 years, according to the owners son, who is trying to help me buy it. [IMG]

That is a unique way to create a Chevy II wagon. I believe the builder sectioned the original sedan C pillar and moved it and the package shelf, window channel area back as one piece, then filled in the roof area. If you look at the rear C pillar now, it has the same shape as a sedan C pillar but narrower which would then match the remaining section with the driprail. c8ce827e513341925805e804f408af33.jpg
