I bought this 54 Lincoln Capri after about 11 years of some back and fourth with the previous owner. Originally I wanted the car to pull and Lincoln Y block and hydro and put it in my 57 F-100. After getting the car and seeing how well it is overall, I couldn't do it so it'll slowly get back to being road worthy and make a nice cruiser for my family and I. 20180701_202357.jpg 20180830_141519.jpg

I brought these two home. 1940 Buick Roadmaster convertible and the same year coupe. The PO was going to cut up the coupe for the benefit of the convertible. Coupe is in too good of condition for that. The convertible is mostly junk, though rare (so what) and is going to end up a parts car.

This spring I became aware of a 33 sedan in a pasture that had a few cars. Was pretty tough to tell what was there when I bought it:
    33 as found.jpg
Was pleasantly surprised at how much car I had by the time it was home! 33 at home.jpg
And this fall learned of some other old iron on an area farm that was available, and got what is left of a 34 sedan to help with parts.

I have also collected up quite a bit for the car over the summer, meeting some fellow HAMB members in the process. So, while the car isn't under construction yet, it is definitely what I would classify as "being saved".
Also drug a 47 moredoor out of the woods that had been last tagged in 72, for use as a parts car for my 47 long door coupe. 47 moredoor for parts.jpg
Mostly because the sedan lurking in the background turned out to be too good a car to part out!
2018 has had it's ups and downs for me, but it has been pretty good in regard to my old Ford addiction!

Good year for me on buying and saving.

Got my '32 body home from New Age Motorsports. Ordered it in 2017 and it came home in 2018.

Traded an off topic project for a poor quality Corbin '32 project on a new Speedway Model A Frame. Sold the junky '32 body and front suspension from that, bought a couple '26 T coupe bodies. Will make one really nice body from the 2 of them. Added new front suspension.

    SPark

My 60 year old Curtiss air compressor gave up the ghost about 6 weeks ago. I have had it going on 40 years. Paid a $100.00 for it back then. Even had to scrape up the money to pull that off then. How times & things have changed.

Bought a new Quincy vertical 5HP two stage with a 60 gallon tank (my old Curtiss had a 60 gallon horizontal tank so I gained some floor space) that puts out 15.7CFM at 80PSI.

Finally got it running today and I can sand blast all day and it keeps up.

Downside...I guess the beer breaks are over while the compressor catches up.

That's OK I can stand to lose a few pounds.
