Some of us can get the best of both worlds when a guy that has put in the parts scrounging effort that Bob has into a project and decides that it must go... the parts are one thing, finding them makes it so much more rewarding....
Some lucky rodder will get it all with this truck..... GO BOB GO !

I will agree with that comment above , I am doing a similar build with my 39 panel truck , building it with a 38 deluxe front , and it has taken me about 4 years to find all the parts to start building

  3. I had a 38 once and miss it, sold it back in the 80's. Would love to buy this one and finish it, live nearby too. Just no funds at the moment. Maybe come spring time if you still have it.

Kipp came up to look at the '39 project, liked it and we loaded it, it is going to a great new home. There are a few parts I still have to find for it, hope to find the heater before he gets home.

  7. That's a cool bunch of pics and glad its gone to a good new home where your vison for this will come to life. You did a great job getting all the parts for it, that is often hard to do. :D JW

Kipp is a very cool guy with a very nice family, hope he starts a build thread on the truck. I'm still looking for the heater. Bob

Hey brother Bob mis ya. The heater looks cool, I’ve been doing a lot of hunting for parts picked up the sheet metal for the back of the cab and found the bottom radiator apron for the grill. I not having any luck with finding the windshield hinges (yuck). When I get some time I will call and thanks for everything

I've found a few boxes of parts, guts from inside the doors, and other odds & ends, so some care packages will be on their way. Wish the weather was warmer, I want to continue cleaning out the garage and organizing things.

Hi Bob. I make new stainless windshields for these. Also new bonnet hinges, which are unique to 39 pickups. But I am in New Zealand. PM me if interested. Larry.
