  7. Two consistent , competitive winners from Minnesota in the mid sixties. These cars ran well at home, and at Indianapolis in the mid sixties. The green coupe was Al Tschida's. Al past away about 3 years ago. g-willys Al_Tschida (2).jpg 64NATIONALSINDY-LUTZ-LUNDBERG-AG (1).jpg

  8. This one was one year off (please forgive me), but quite spectacular, and I just had to throw it in. g-willys high flyer-33i (1).jpg

  9. When we raced Lutz & Lundberg they were out of Colorado.

  10. Sorry, I just checked my notes, although it seemed every time we raced at Denver they were there, Lutz & Lundberg were indeed based in Minnesota.

  12. Getting old is no fun...I thought I'd re-check my memory. I checked your profile page, and you got me beat by 2 years. I'm a Willys guy, and often saw the '41 4door run strong as well. The L & L Willys was a strong runner too, and was recently restored to look exactly like this original . Two of my friends have been owners of this nice '41,
over the last 15 years. g -willys (This picture was taken between '63 & '65...at least that's what I remember ???)

Nick Leifting in his 327 T Bucket pickup. The car in the background of Dave McDougal featured in the car show [post # 234]
Racing on Kerr's Road in Auckland

Nick went onto start one of NZ's first speed shops in 1966 . "Greenlane Speed Shop"
[This photo pre-dates that time due to the lack of sponsorship on his car]

The photo below shows the same car [with his own sponsorship] and slowly changing into a dedicated race car.
Note the body is now tubbed, has a tonneau cover and sporting a 396 Big Block [around 1967]

A 4 door Ford "Cusso" with fake injector stacks in the 60's at Wellington
It has a very early license number, so it must've been original
