Here is my wagon! It’s got a 200ci straight 6 with a 4 on the floor mugen trans. Slammed as far as it can go with air shocks in the back. Love the way she rides just need to find a roof rack for this thing now! [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Lose the side pipes and make a roof rack out of them, just joking but they wouldn’t be my cup of tea. Stock height, 14s with a bigger tire would look good, classic 5 lug “mags” of some kind would look good too if one wanted to go a step further. I like it ok already or I wouldn’t have commented. Just my .02 ,Different strokes for different folks, Rock on as you please;)

The pipes look functional. The sound must be great!
Are you running a split manifold?
    BTW, What's a "mugen" trans?

I always feel a bit nostalgic when I see an early Falcon wagon. This is my old one Kewl65 at Exhibition building.jpg

I love all the styles and agree with you on a lot of it. Maybe once I get tired of it this way that’s a route to consider!

  14. Is it a 64 or 65? The body style looks similar to our 60-63 Mercury Comet wagons.

65/66 Australian Falcon. Your '63s share similar parts, rubbers etc

Nice wagon ya got there Skriblz! I bet if you buffed out the paint and through some shiny full size wheel covers on that long roof it would look even sweeter!!

Aussie Falcon wagons are several inches shorter in the back and have unique to Oz taillights. The front sheetmetal is very similar to our Comet version. They shortened the body to reduce both overhang and rear weight bias to keep from bottoming out on typical Oz roads of the period. Argentine wagons and "rurales" were similarly done. Oz never officially got the US '64-'65 body style or '60-'63 2 door sedans or hardtops. IIRC their first 2 doors were their own design and not related to any US model.

Parents had a '61 Falcon wagon in the mid '60's. I drove it some, but my '55 Cheby 210 was my car of choice.

Congratulations Skriblz on your Falcon wagon project.
My '60 is lowered three inches via custom springs, has front disc brakes, 4 lug Truespokes and 520s.

I found an NOS XK visor and had it shipped from Australia to SoCal for my wagon.

Dad bought a new 63 1/2 baby blue 4 door wagon, and a year or so later ran it into and underneath a street sweeper in my native Athens, Ohio. He ducked just before impact, and walked away with a small cut on his forehead. The Falcon was really wasted, with the roof down level with the seat backs.

  25. That car is super sweet and smooth.

Colour, ride height ... everything !!!!
