Stu D Baker, trsr100 started a new personal conversation with you at The H.A.M.B.. 60 olds front fender Shoot me a text if you still need the 60 olds front fender. This never showed up in my conversation folder on the HAMB, but only in my email. Maybe a mod removed it, but looked very suspicious to me. Be aware.
He was found to be a scammer this morning and I banned him. In that process all of his posts and messages are deleted from the site. Email notifications aren’t able to be deleted. Do not answer him. Just delete the email
Thank all of you gentlemen in the high up places where you are for the assistance that you provide all of us. Your diligence often goes unrewarded.
These A hole scammers really piss me off. Since I've been a member I've sold and bought a bunch of parts here on the Hamb and the Ford Barn as well. I've never had any issues either buying or selling. Thanks to members reporting scammers and the mods blocking them as soon as possible. I'd hate to see the classified section go the way of the great white buffalo due to scammers. JMHO
the bottom line is when you get an offer from someone who joined today, hit the report button. chances are it is a scam....
I'd say most truly legit guys will send a photo of the item they have and can take and send a photo with a current paper's front page or current copy of a car magazine in it to show it's a fresh photo.
Checked out both places, but nothing rustfree. Thanks anyway guys. May have to repair the crashed one that I have.
I put in a wanted a few years back for a 40 Chevrolet frame.( they are a 1 yr only) got 6 replies all bogus. I told each one to send it too me and if I like it I'll cut you a check.
Thanks for the follow-up and investigation on scammers. Truth and honesty seem to be on the decline, but the HAMB is at the forefront of helping to correct this problem.
Thanks Stu D Baker for the heads-up and thanks, Mark, for being on it so quickly. Just makes you wish that you could reach through the computer, grab these ass-hats by the throat and beat 'em senseless. I feel the same way about telephone robo-call scammers.
