I wish you well @Flogknaw , hated to see the other thread closed. The SBC group is like the Delta's frat on campus, lots of fun to party with but always under double secret probation. Of course that makes the moderators Dean Wormer. Toga, toga, toga...

The small block in the #Goldchainer.

She's just a street car that likes to play every once in a while.

And on the eighth day, God created the small block, and it was good, and he rested. The big blocks have't rested since.
Or something like that! Small blocks with big block CID's. And here I am playing with little 265's and 283's; what's wrong with me? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

  20. Absolutely, hands down, the greatest engine ever built! Long live the Small Block Chevrolet!

Really dig this Nova, especially the engine.
Curious, is your dual snorkel air cleaner a GM issue, if so how about a photo of the base.
Back when I was doing my car in its restored (appearing) iteration I aquired this really nice original chrome top, a shame the guy didn't have the base as they are harder to find than the top, and extremely pricey, I have a friend that bought an NOS base CHEAP:mad:
Plans changed and sold the top for twice what I paid.

Love those dual quad engines. That's the plan for my 327 A coupe this summer. Get that nasty 351C out of it.
