Nice to know, Seb. Does that mean you go to church regularly?

20180239.jpg 100_2016.JPG !cid_12112141521.jpg I've known Ronnie for forty plus years and he is a real character!
Here is a picture of our cars taken fairly recently and a picture of us with another old friend 'Moose'(I'm on the right, Ron in the middle).
The last is Ron being Ron. View attachment 4128683 View attachment 4128684 View attachment 4128685
He called me today to talk and said he was going to be a 'wise man' in his church Christmas play.
To which I responded are you sure they didn't say 'wise guy'?
He laughed and said I was the second person to say that so it must be true. lol

  9. LOL, brother Tim. This hobby of ours is not so much about the cars, as it's about the friendships we make. Here's a picture of some Knuckle heads, I mean Knukle Draggers. Hope you have a very Blessed and Merry Christmas everyone, and tiny Tim too. lol ;)
"A Merry Christmas to us all; God bless us, every one!"

  10. I've always said, Ron, yeah the cars are what brings us together, but it's really about the people. You and your Family and pals exemplify that.

  11. I'm Tim, I live in the Central Valley of California where there are farms next to mountains not palm trees next to an ocean. I build engines and run around in a few different cars. Been using the '31 Sport Coupe as my main commuter lately though.

Been know to run around a dry lake bed too.

My first Fairlane when I was 16.
A 2 door LHD was quite rare in NZ back then.

It had all the good shit on it [ Air shocks, dual exhausts, 14 x 8 hotwire wheels]

As you may have guessed my name is Larry and I live out in the country south of Lone Jack, MO (Pop. 1021)

I've had this '55 for about 15 years and it is almost done. My '37 Chevy coupe is close to done as it is runs, is painted, and has the interior installed. I'm still chasing electrical gremlins but I think I've got them cornered.

And there is a disassembled '54 Dodge C1B6 1/2 ton pickup that is being worked on sporadically. Larry-8.jpg

I live in Prince Edward County, Ontario which is an island/peninsula in Lake Ontario. I am 75 and have been playing with cars since about 1961. My first attempt was a 29 Tudor that I first drove on the street and then built it into a C/A powered by a SBC. Note the intake, wish I had that today.

Fast forward to the 21st century. The 29 body had sat all these years and finally rusted into a little pile on the floor. I wanted to recreate the Village idiot, but had to settle for a 30 Tudor. I built it the same way except with an aluminum 300 Buick. First with a blower and then making it streetable.

Getting the car ready to drive out to Deuce Days on the west coast in 2019.

Another car I have had since 1963 is a 32 American Bantan. In the mid 60s, I built it as a street rod but then marriage got in the way. A couple of years ago, I decided to resurrect it and built it into an nostalgia altered.

    I also have a 1962 Cutlass that I have had since 1987.

  15. These days I don't drive anything. I ride my bike a lot. I won't post my bike as we are no longer bike friendly for whatever reason. I guess it has to do with the whole biker car punk thing that came along in the '70s.

I don't get a chance to work on my own stuff much, I work on other people's rides. If I have something to work on for someone else in my drive I can usually get loose to do that or if I really get lucky I can go to someone's house and work on their old heap. If I am home and think I have time to work on my own junk there is an aging relative here that needs my attention more. Maybe someday. I hope.

Eventually I am going to have time to get this old heap on the road. Wish me luck.

  24. Thanks a lot Timmy, But instead of a humpback camel, I drove a humpback Dodge panel. Lol I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too. Sketch courtesy of Sam (rusty1) :) Thanks Ron... 20190102_193907.jpeg

  29. LOL we could fix that in an afternoon with a rattle can and a an ounce of medicinal marijuana. :D

OK maybe more than one rattle can and a bottle of rum. :D :D :D

  30. Just a bump, to see a picture of your Rod or Kustom. Or maybe, just a little intro of what you been up to lately? I know that I've post mine, probably too often. But I would like to see more of what you guys have been up too. Even if it's just driving it. Thanks :) Ron..... 20180121_081213.jpg
