Event Coverage My Photos from the Hot Rod Mag & In-N-Out 70th Anniversary

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Blues4U, Nov 28, 2018.

  1. After having a chance to look through the rest of your pics I've come to the conclusion that:
A; you are a pretty good photographer &
B; that is a shit load of really cool cars.
I wish that we could get shows of this caliber up north.
    You truly are fortunate!

Hahaha, just 1 day. Got there as the sun was coming up, so the first shots I had to deal with a real low sun angle. I didn't even post pics of the drags. It was almost too much for 1 day.....

This pic is worth reposting. 97 year old Ed Isenderian was there selling his book. That's my book there he's signing. Meeting Ed, having him sign my book, getting to photograph him, that was the highlight of my day. If all I got out of the day was this 1 thing it would've been worth it. All the rest was icing on the cake IMO.

Couldn't help but laugh at the ''car shows suck'' pin in the shoebox woody. Because it's parked at a car show.
Thanks for so many pictures. @squirrel 's Nova is looking race ready.

Going through all of your pictures that you submitted for about the sixth time, I just noticed a new McLaren in the background, never noticed it before... must be something wrong, or right, with me.:D

yeah, it was race ready. I ran later the day, 10.05 at 133. Pretty darn quick.

I've been at that door for quite a while with this car, but don't want to go there....that's why I built another car. Still working on getting it to run like it should.

    Hey B,

You did take a ton of photos and they are all great quality. To say there were some great looking hot rods and drag racers is right to the point. Two big names associated with the hot rod scene from the early days can attract the “best of the best” in hot rod gatherings. “Variety is the spice of life”…is captured quite well here in So Cal.

The one that still rings true to me was the hot rod of a favorite HAMB member and old drag racer from the early 60s.

    Dean Lowe RPU

That RPU would make a great basis for delivering the family Christmas Tree in the bed or in the passenger seat area. What a sight that would be…

When a zillion cars are all lined up in rows for the showcase, it is hard to get a great photo of one particular hot rod. These photos are really well done. Great show on your million photos, they are similar, but different than the others that have been posted.

A nice photo is in the “eye of the beholder”… so the saying goes… Thanks for posting a documentation of the event in Pomona.
