The 6 1940 ford tubs at the worlds fair is legend more than provable, I searched every Worlds fair site for 1939 Chicago and 1940 in San Francisco, there was no evidence, there were some 40 Fords but no convertible sedans. It's a legend I like since I have a tub with 40 Delux frontend

I had looked into this awhile back and could find no verification either. I think the 39 Deluxes look great with 40 Deluxe sheet metal. I wish Ford would have made some 40 deluxe models. Oh well it is easy enough to change the front sheet metal, taillights and dash if some one wants to make one.

That '39 looks great! It's a restomod with '40 headlights, smooth bumper and rubber rake, but they're all changes that look great on the car.

 

Just a few more details for this car posted at $38.5 Looks like a really nice car! I hope mine comes out as good as this one. I know I will will never get it built under the price this one is offered at.

Did you get all 4 of those hubcaps and trim rings, they're really cool.

 

Yes but only one trim ring/ steel white wall was good. I did just get 3 more for here on the hamb. Made by lyon
