You guys are so lucky to have more cows than girls... I drove from the horse area and tried to get to the cows, but the dang farm road was blocked... by inconsiderate girls......but thankfully, only maybe 50....not 500



Seriously, I rarely see that many people in that area, and I just like taking pics of the hotrod and the farmland. I've met nice people there that go for the same reason...enjoying vanishing farmlife and the animals...even the cops tour there to see the newborn animals like this one below told me he was doing.

I hope you like pics of my town as I like seeing places i'll never get to see otherwise, that you put up.

Herefords are the sneakiest 'cause they're so laid back. And cow poo will blister paint if you don't wipe it off very soon......ask me how I know

 

Yup we squeeze 2000 mamaries twice a day to fund the hot rod habit ( well I personally dont now as farming full time interferes with hot rod building)

 

And I thought the NZ guys only dug sheep... especially the pretty ones....

 

My mom was a farm girl and she was sent to fetch one of the cows that was in another field grazing. A thunderstorm popped up and a bolt of lightning hit the chain between her and the cow. It knocked her flat and she got up, the cow was fine too.

 

Wow...very lucky. Lightning hit a large oak tree in the pasture killing five cows a few years ago. The tree is ok.

I ignored this, because I knew it would be something like this. I really was expecting it to be chickens (hens), though.

 

Cows & hot rods just go together!

 

My brother had a swamp maple struck by lightning outside his apartment maybe 10 years back, 30' from his front window. The tree simply exploded, split down the middle to the ground. I went over to look and you could still smell the burned trunk and see the lightning path. Anyone close would have been fried.

 

Hook, line and sinker....I was hoping for some real cute Aussie Girls of the Human persuasion...
