  3. I once owned a '54 New Yorker Wagon in about this same color. I really like the cargo area in these wagons. Al's 54 Chrysler wagon view of cargo area.jpg

Did you inquire? Somebody probably got tired of looking at it and sold it to em in a weak moment, They will hopefully be smart enough at the scrap place not to junk it and sell it for more what its worth, looks like 75 up nova behind it. It may have been the subframe v8 donor car someone was gonna use "someday"

Not to worry, most anyone should know that a complete pickup like that is worth more than scrap value. Be different if it was missing doors or the hood. Good sign that it's in front of the building, not out back by the pile waiting to get stacked.

  16. Had I not been at work today I would’ve. And you’re right, it does look like “someday “ project.

Would be a cool ole work horse truck just to clean it up and go through all the mechanicals to insure it was relatively dependable:cool:

  19. Those old AD GM trucks were some of the best trucks made. There are still quite a few still on the job. A guy I know that has a 1950 1 ton that he still hauls 2 chord loads of firewood with it.

D4...definitely too wide for a D2..the D2's also had narrower tracks....like the later RD4. Don't think (but easily could be wrong) the D2's didn't have a pony motor either.

Edit: Google me wrong...D2's did have a pony motor.

  24. Yep the D2 and the D4 used the exact same pony engine. Ive actually got two D4,s one a 1940 7j is a narrow guage. The other a 49 7U is a wide guage.
