If you ever think of selling this project, let me know. Maybe a package deal, including the Wife?

  8. The '33-'36 is narrower. I'm at work so I can't measure but I think it's approx 45" king pin to king pin and the spring pads are closer also. The king pins are 5/8" as opposed to 3/4". The 1937 to '39 or '40 have a drop the '41-'42 are straighter

    Eric,
Car is looking great. I don't recall what your intentions are with finished project. Will it be race ready to today's standards or built as it ran in the sixties?

    Eric,
Looking Good. I see the body is missing the rear package tray and cross bracing. That would be a must for any power train. Also I used a mid sixties NHRA rule book to understand items like engine set back, brake and fuel line routes, roll bar and seat belt needs etc. At today's tracks you will only be allowed to nurse it down the track. Even if you found the hair you needed you would only be able to unleash it once before track management asked you to put it on trailer. But maybe one ride would be enough. Some photos of my mock up below:

Thank you, Joe. I like seeing your Mock up. This is a Long term deal for me, as I live in the sticks, and getting a few guys over to help move the body, is a difficult thing. once the floors are in, and the body is more ridged, I will set in on my lift, as I start to fit, and modify.

    Eric,
I don't have any shots of the stock version as my car had been modified when I bought it in 1972. The tray was a back drop for the original seat with a front lip that provided strength and a place for the upholstery panel. There was an X brace from the tray to each quarter area. You can see the remnants in my photo of the car when I put it on the street. Hope this helps.

Hello HAMBers, Had to take an unexpected Break, from my build, Christmas eve, I suffered an Aneurism. Messed me and my plans up pretty good. Still not back to work, and a little difficult to work on things. I hope to be back to work, in a few months. Was working on the car, when this issue started. Now my Wife Really hates it!!!! Don't give up, I'm not!! Eric

Roland's stuff, sure is nice, but the welder, sure kicks that nasty Vertigo, into high gear. Might have to farm this out, if it doesn't get better... Think my Engine and Trans, might be a little high
