Looking to buy the auto trans for my '32 project. Unsure whether I should just go to a wrecking yard and get what I want and have rebuilt locally or just bite the bullet an go to Jegs, Summit, Jasper, etc... What are your experiences good or bad?

If you buy a junkyard trans, and use it to mock up the car, then get it rebuilt right before you get the car finished, it might still be under warranty when you go for your first drive....something to think about.

Due o the horrendous shipping cost and dollar exchange, I find trans locally, then as mentioned, use for mockup.
We have a good rebuild shop here and the ones I have had done work very well......so, I'm happy! :)
