  1. I'm Scott Taylor, people call me Scotty T hence the screen name! I'm 51, I've been playing with cars since i was a little kid. Grew up playing in Dads 57 corvette, I'm still doing that. For the past couple years I've been more active on line than in the garage due to a lot of things going on in life, some good some bad.

I recently became the caretaker of Dads 57, It's been in the family since 1962. I hope to pass it on to my grandson.

  3. I can't really think of a short version of my story. I own two 1931 Dodge Brothers DH6 business coupes. I drive the dark blue one. Here is some of my story on my first '31 DB which I still own....the blue one is a newer acquisition from about 12 years ago....I have always been a MoPar guy and have had about 100+ of them. post-37352-143142255324.jpg post-37352-143142255332.jpg post-37352-143142255341.jpg 1467489_10201964512253365_1450239591_n.jpg post-37352-143137999621.jpg

The green roadster was on the road in 2001, the 5-window in 2005 and the black roadster in 2010. I'm done building cars but I still like to watch and drive the old cars. trktrdsr.jpg 5w (1).jpg carwithtop.jpg

well, my life is full of so called "coincidences"...I was just thinking last eve about an old driving video of Paul's...and what do I see this morning?;) ..and a few days before, I recalled a sentence you wrote years ago, perhaps defending building with all of the old ways : "I want my cars to feel old".

I've been wanting to do a drive video for months now, I just need to get someone local to do the upload. I want to show the Buick topshift in action, .... how the car handles so sweet with the fast ratio steering....and the Olds Rocket pulling the back hill country roads..

I’m St. Louis born and raised I drug this home almost 19 years ago. Then proceeded to build a hot rod with a hemi. 33 Terraplane 8. It’s been threw several stages over that time. Even though one version looks r..r..ish it drove incredible but I seen the light and more or less reinvested time and $ and now having a blast even though working threw some bugs. I will say it’s tough working 60-70 hrs a week to find time building a ride.

George here, from the beautiful high desert of Central Oregon. The coupe is a '36 Plymouth that my Dad helped finance when I was 14 in 1964. Thirty five dollars as I recall. My summer job was hiring out to farmers to work whatever crop they needed to harvest. The original owner was a retired local gentleman who did the same. He would give me a ride out to the job in the coupe. When he retired it, he offered it to me. It holds many good memories. It was in storage throughout my college and early family years. Even survived a garage fire. This one is a keeper.

  11. Hi Danny here, I bought my first car a 1932 Ford 5 window coupe when I was 12, I am obsessed with cars and have owned Model A's, '40 Fords and Deuces and a plethora of other off topic cars & trucks.

There is currently 3 cars in the garage, a 1932 Ford sedan, a 1954 Ford Ranch Wagon and 1950 Ford coupe project and according to cob I am a HAMBOHOLIC, something I don't deny. :D HRP

    Just for you Cousin Ronnie!

I am a 49 year old product of my raising! I have had a serious problem with hot rods my whole life and love to destroy and rebuild stuff! :) My name is Todd and if any of you are ever in the Shenandoah Valley (VA) stop by and have a beer. I'll even take you to see Ronnie! :)

  15. I'm Don from Southern Maryland. Been on here since May of 2007. Grew up watching dirt track racing and building model car kits from around age 10. Been a '40 Ford nut since I was a youngster. Made a deal with my Jr. High librarian when I found that she was trashing the issues of Motor Trend, Car Craft, Hot Rod and Rod and Custom when the new ones arrived. The collection started there around 1962. Guess I've just been car crazy since exiting the womb. First words weren't Da Da, but "Hey, let's go cruisin' the streets".........My '40 that I've owned for almost 30 years.. 43331156_1997474516964716_6096699110235045888_n.jpg 20181006_094353 (1).jpg 20181006_094415.jpg

3C8BD483-840C-445E-8C4B-B80DB19DCDA3.jpeg I’m Dave, lurked for awhile before I joined 9 years ago. I’ve been addicted in one way or another since I could barely climb into a car and still can’t control how much my passion consumes my life.
Five years ago I finally got the 40 Coupe I’ve lusted for since my early model building days.
In my travels I’ve been able to put faces and names to many of the avatars here, looking forward to meeting many more. :D

Here’s my high school ride, bone stock, wanted to rod it but Dad was paying the bills.[IMG]

Frame off “street rod” 52 F-1, had for 20 years then sold it like a fool to buy my 31 coupe, here it is in front of @ OJ’s Clark County Speed shop, and a few more pics[IMG][IMG][IMG]

And here’s my 31 in progress, sorry Dad, I’m paying for this one [IMG]

If I get to buy the 1934 Dodge Coupe, I will definitely need to plan a road trip to come up and see you. It would be so cool to take pictures of the cars together.
