Technical 37 ford spindle, hub, drum, tyre diameter and offest dimentions sought

    1. what is the distance from the spindle / back plate face to the wheel mounting face
    2. what is the total height of a stock wheel and tyre
    3. what is the wheels et/offset or back-space and rim diameter

    As far as I can tell from having both a '37 front axle and a Pilot one the geometry is pretty much the same. I took a load of measurements when making some 5J, 6J and 7J wide fives to get the offset right. Given some measurement errors this is what I think you're asking for:
    wheel diameter 16"
    wheel width 4"
    backspace 1.75"
    wheel diameter with 6.00x16 tyre 28"
    KPI 8.05 to 8.25 degrees
    Kingpin offset 3.5"
    Caster 0.75 to 1.12 degrees
    which with the 6.00x16 tyre gives a scrub radius of around 1.5"

    Someone might have some more accurate factory values.

    wheel centre line on the ground is 1.5 inches away from the projected king pin centre line on the ground

    Hi, yes that's right, for a 28" tyre. Obviously is bigger for a smaller tyre, and vice versa.
