  1. Hey, I'm James. I'm 18 yrs old and the owner of this truck. A 1964 Ford F-100 with a 292 Y-block and a Borg/Warner T-98. We're in the process of doing and engine swap with a 302 and an AOD out of an '88 Thunderbird Screenshot_20181126-205404~2.jpg

The Y block is a great engine. Where are you? Do you want to sell it?

I would Keep the Y block if I could. Helps make your truck special.
On the other hand, Hey- it’s your truck.

  4. Nah, it has almost no compression, I think the valve seats are burnt and the rings are worn, I'm just going to put it in storage for later on when I can afford to restore the whole truck

  5. I will keep it, but I'll rebuild it later on down the road

    Nice truck. Welcome.

  10. Hi James, keep coming back. It works.

  11. Nice looking truck!
Great plan to keep the y-block untill you have some money to spend on it.
Any other plans for the truck other then drivetrain ?

  12. Yeah, it does need some body work, one the passenger door, the corner of the cab and the floor pans. I'll post some pictures of them, but I've never done any real body work

Welcome from VA! You need to find one of those old aluminum camper shells. Good Luck, looks like a pretty good start.

Speaking of pickup trucks, mattresses, and morgan freeman, i vividly remember a very good night with a gal ( now my wife) at the drive in theatre... i vaguely recall the movie we didnt watch being Bruce Almighty.
Welcome! I have learned much on here, and know you will too.
They aren't making many real men anymore, so if you dont act like a p***y, keep your word, look a woman in they eye when you talk to her (when she walks away all bets are off ;) , and have the balls to actually ask her on a date, you'll have that bed filled in no time my friend...

Welcome James! Good looking truck - I love those ‘64-‘66 F100’s. My current project is a ‘64 as well. Love the turquoise colored ones too!
