Hey Axle, What’s the story on that picture? Is it from an album cover or an old publicity shot or what? That car looks pretty cool too. I’d like to see more of it..... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Damn....wish I could make the trip ...will be a great show I'm sure.... I picked this one up a few years ago... cool stuff.. Sent from my QTASUN1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The car in the photo is a 1933 Bantam built by Marvin Ginter. August 1964 "Car Craft": Sounds like a way cool event. You California guys have all the fun....
Sounds like a great time. I've seen Roy Wilson and the Buzzards many times here on the east coast. Heavy Rebel Weekender in Winston Salem is a similar event every 4th.

Notice Mr. Dale is a lefty, but he uses a right hand guitar "upside down". Or at least the strings are. I love shit like this.
Axle, which day and what time will Dick Dale be playing? Even if it’s an appropriate time. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
It would be great to see you and your cool car at the event. I remember seeing you at the 1st Rhythm Collision
Hello friends. It saddens me greatly that the King Of Surf Guitar - Dick Dale passed away Saturday night. He created a unique sound with wet drenching reverb units,Showman Fender amps, and his old faithful gold metalflake Fender Stratocaster. My dear friend Lawyer Joe of The Show-men Surf band, met and became friends with Dick back in 1959,and learned how to play guitar by him. Joe was by his side when Dick passed, and I received the news not long after. Those that watched Dick Dale perform at The Rhythm Collision Weekend saw his last concert, and knows that he gave it his all. Long time hot rodder (and my best friend) Jim Bouchard, as well as the rest of The Rhythm Collision staff, are still a bit numb from all of this. You're here one minute, and gone the next. May Dick Dale rest in eternal Reverb heaven.
He was a lefty, played a left handed Strat, but it was strung backwards, and used heavy strings. I rear on YellowBullet.Com this morning, his wife is trying to scrape up enough money to bury him; $55,000.00 is the target. There is a Go Fund Me Page for donations. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
Sell the 81 acres out near 29 Palms with the air strip. $55K is a little over the top. Just sayin'; and I liked the guy
