ok , so my car was starving for gas or flooding lol... check flow at carb by pulling hose off, appears to be weak so I put on a regulator and gauge. yup, weak 1 lbs sometimes. ok I've had a bad hose at tank which sucks air, so I plugged the end at tank and blew into hose up front.. no flow hmmmm… drop the tank, pull the sender unit and guess what? small hole at weld on sender (see pic)....ran good with a full tank ...lol dammm

I had almost the same, and yes it drove me nuts. The fuel line at it's highest point over the rear end had a crack in it by the time I found it. At that point the car stopped all together and refused to run where as when it started it would just stumble going up a grade under a medium load then got worse to where if I stood on it on level surface the car would nose over. I know this is a long story but I wrote it in hopes that someone may read this that and are having the same issue better understand to not start buying parts that won't fix a thing. Yes, I was younger then but the session guys I would talk to about it never led me in the right direction either. Moral-"Live and Learn"
