Here are a few more photoshops I did of the chop. The second two images would have a 32 header with a leaned back A pillar. Big issue with that is the door hinges, got to take one out. The last one is a 5.5" chop. This is shown on a 32 frame just like my roadster, which I'm not totally ruling out ;-)

  3. The leaned A post and no visor really goes well with a heavy chop. The 32 Frame effect will be lost with a 6" channel won't it? Now if your going to run a 32 Gas Tank I say yes.

4" channel, but it wouldn't be channeled if I used the 32 frame. A lot of the channel work was done, but not enough that I can't go back.

  5. I mixed up numbers. I was thinking of my Roadster at the time, it's channeled 6". A 4" channel could work on 32 rails and if you used a 1" spacer to start leveling the flat floor on the 32 rails it might save you a ton of rework on the structure. Just thinking with the key board here.

Mocked up the t5 to the flathead. Made a simple stand so I can sit it on the floor.

Took about 3.5” out of the stretched frame. I like this proportion better.
I do have a 32 frame on order... so it could all change... or I will use it for the other body I have...

My Dad put this engine together and got it running, this is before messing with the carb... I'll post a better video later.

Lookin like I'm about one year tardy into this conversation.
I too am building a chopped A Tudor. Short story is, I started on the build of a Dodge Baby Hemi, not having a car to put it in. A chopped A Tudor, with pink slip, came to me almost before I was ready. So I jumped on it. A pinched 32 frame was ordered and is due mid Jan. 2021.
I am eager to see how you have resolved "engine space",...i.e. radiator mounting and firewall. I'd rather not modify mine,....much.

Nice Sedan! I haven't updated this in a while.. I've been working on other things, but time to get back on this. I'll post some pics of progress. I have a 32 frame not pinched.

A little update. I now have a 32 frame from Blackboards. This sedan will no longer be channeled. Obviously I chopped the top which has helped the motivation, I think it looks great with a 5.5" chop. My kids and a few friends helped on chop day. Still a bunch of fitting and welding to do. Looks great with that chop and 32 rails, are you still planning to do the 32 header?

Thanks! I am not planning on doing the 32 header at this point. I do think I'm going to section the visor so it doesn't look so heavy. .... stay tuned for that..

Ditto on the kids! They may never become Hot Rod folk but the investment of your time and love is a foundation they will benefit from as they establish their own lives..

How cool and coincidental. I have a Blackboard frame coming within a few weeks. The front crossmember is moved forward 1" which will yield a 107" wheelbase. I'm hoping to squeeze the little Hemi in w/o butchering the firewall.
I note that your rear tires are nicely located in the wheel well. What is your rear spring set-up and are you living with the Blackboard "C" notch?

Nice. I have a 40 ford rear spring/rear end. It isn't totally in place yet, just mocked up where I want it.
