It all started with that axle.

Thought I was the only one crazy enough to let one part motivate me so.

    Thank you all for sharing.

I bought a 34 radiator cap for my Dad's 34 sedan when I was seventeen, (many years ago). When I gave
it to him he said that's a pickup cap, I kept it all these years knowing someday I would build a 34 pickup.
I started accumulating parts, and over the last five years it all came together. Took my 34 Ford pickup to
the RPM Nationals this year, and someone stole that radiator cap. Is there a moral here, I don't know.....

This started with an Offy twin 4 barrel manifold for an SBC at a swap meet.. Seemed fitting when the car turned up on ebay 2 years later to build a Chevrolet. Copy of DSCF3705.jpg

Well, most of my builds started with the remains of a car or truck body, but my coupe actually started from a truck I bought for parts. After I used the parts I needed, I had this frame left. So I bought a $200 body when the scrap price was up several years ago, and ended up with my 48 Plymouth coupe. Gene
