HELLO, I AM NEW HERE AND I WOULD LIKE SOME HELP WITH COWL STEERING SETUP. THE CAR IS A 28' CHEVY COUPE. IT HAS LEAF SPRINGS AND A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY. I AM NOW TRYING TO BUILD THE STEERING. I WOULD LIKE TO DO A COWL STEERING SETUP. I HAVE NEVER SET ONE UP FROM SCRATCH AND I WOULD APPRECIATE SOME HELP. I SEEN SOMEBODY ON HERE WAS SELLING PARTS TO DO A COWL STEERING SETUP?? ANY HELP. I bought a setup from Gas Alley Street Rods in Shawnee, KS that adapts a reversed Corvair box to cowl steer. The install went very well, the pitman arm was a little crappy so we adapted a Ford p/u arm. This was not expensive. Have not driven yet, I admit, but have driven cowl setups and yes you get some bump steer, but yes it looks cool......it is your ride, do what you want. It sure looks better than all that bullshit U-Joint setup everybody else runs.
