I like spotlights on customs.
I think maybe it's just that I like "chrome boobies".
And I like the idea of a real deep dark color that almost looks black except in direct sunlight, no matter the hue...forest green, navy blue, deep deep burgundy...

"Perfect 36"! Please keep the beautiful Appleton spots. HRM would have this as a cover car back when there were brains there...
and Harry Westergard is nodding his approval!
My first car was a '36 3 window. Chopped 5-1/4", after mistakes.
I was 13, and my mentors said I was 'damned good'. Oxy-acet was the welds and a Vixen file did the shaping over lead. Never let it go to my head, though...

Kevin Anderson has a really nice 5 window. I've seen this car in Detroit and at the custom car revival.

 

Big fan of the Appleton spots too. If it was mine it would have them as well. I really want a 39 Standard coupe in this fashion. Nice work and I like the headlights molded in like that.

 

Don't get me wrong, I like Appleton's, I just like them on a larger bodied custom like the Merc, etc.
This build is one of my favorites to watch even though I know it's gonna be green!
