A couple of hot rodders drag racing their full body coupes / sedans. Just another couple of Gassers. But these two racers did not know that, did not know about the Gasser class, because it had not been invented yet. This race above was at the Santa Barbara Airport, in Goleta, California, in either 1948 or 1949. The spectators in this photo are some of the very first people that ever witnessed a scheduled drag race. This is Ground Zero when it comes to attending a drag racing event...

 

Posting negative or positive comments is what a forum is all about. Everybody has different opinions about the same subject.
If there is no comments at all the forum will die a slow death.

I doubt if anybody has sent any hate messages here directly to any member. Even Gary hasn't made such a claim. He said "You'd be surprised at the hate mail I get. I don't get it."
If I am wrong, I am sure Gary will chime in.

edit: The Model A roadster pickup is the backbone of Kiwi Hotrods. There were lots of them in NZ because of our farming economy.
