So about 10 days ago I get a pm from @Fan Attic that says something like : I noticed you commented on a white Cragar steering wheel on a thread yesterday and wondered if you need this. what he sent was a link to a CL ad that was locol to him. A pretty good looking wheel so I said sure. He went over to the guys place, talked him down a little and boxed it up and shipped it to me.... Man what a great guy. Hey Fan attic.... Thanks a lot man

  3. That's what I love most about this place and why I've stuck around for so long. There's a sense of community here that I don't even have in my real-life community.:(

I've been looking for a good while for a clutch pedal and associated linkage for my Pontiac. Old Wolf posted a thread about pulling a Pontiac front clip out of some weeds. I asked him if he would sell the clutch pedal and associated linkage.

He pulled it, boxed it up and gave me a really good price on all of it. Just to note, he said he didn't Paypal. I sent a Postal Money Order. If anyone else does business with Old Wolf his word is good.

Should also note, bchctybob sent me header flanges for nothing!

I'll agree with you there. I was looking for some spring shackles for my willys put a post on here asking if anyone knew where I can find them and pat aka 1934coupe had a pair he sent them to me for just the shipping cost and he had to send them to the uk for me.

There are still a lot of kind/ caring people in this world that go out of there way to help others but it's the scammers that ruin it for those of us that are in it for the love of these cars

You need to build a car for that wheel. And, yes the HAMB is slam full of good folks.

I'm curious, is there anything ( car or ?) that you really really want, but just can't get?
    Cool stuff.

I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiment about members of the HAMB. Tag Man rescued me me from a giant problem with titling my 37 Chevy coupe. Our relationship started with cracked 327 that I purchased from him on the HAMB. He is a first class member to deal with and I owe a big debt of gratitude.

I'm guessing you have seen the pics from Peoria, 1970. Someone there in Illinois has to know something, even if it got turned into a treehouse.

level of talent is amazing too!One example that comes to mind is the guy building a rust bucket 59 Fury convertible that he systematically rebuilt to better than new. What made it even more challenging was the fact it was black ,which requires nearly perfect sheet metal ..and he did it!Amazing result!

  25. Very recently bought hub caps for my '51 Shoebox from Big A. He lives in Canada but shipped them from Niagara Falls NY to save import duties. Oh yea and I bought the '51 Shoebox from Chappy 444 on here after his Dad passed away. Good people on the HAMB and good to deal with.
