kidcampbell71, after I got it and looked it over I realized I didn't have the skills to bring it to life. I put it on Craigslist and Brian Bass bought it. Sure is in capable hands now.

This Model A roadster served as the windbreak for a somewhat bizarre "carport man cave" in rural Texas for many years, somewhat protected but still largely open to the weather. It had been a 'banger-powered hot rod with dropped axle and juice brakes many years before and was allowed to go to seed. The 'banger chassis has recently been fitted with a new Brookville roadster body (and is for sale) while this gennie Henry body is being reborn as the Arin Cee Roadster. See the build thread below for the full story.

How ironic a couple of the pictures are taken at the bank! Great haul of gold there

  13. With a little ingenuity you could build a TROG racer from that.

  23. Saved from Mother Nature, frame is bad/bent/twisted from left front hard hit. Had '63 California tag on, found rusting away in northern Michigan. Shell still exists, it has been used to restore at least 2 other '56 Fords.

Personally, I see no difference. Both are loaded with photos of cars that have been saved, cars that will never be saved and cars that have no doubt already been crushed. The original (real) thread was started in 2009, has 476 pages and well over 14,000 posts. I figure they should be merged so we don't have to hunt up both threads to drool over and whimper about the mistreated automotive treasures.

Ta Hell, I'm not trying to be argumentative, but you need to take another look at the content of this thread, it's not what you think it is.

  25. Saved from probably headed to Mr Crusher. Solid frame and many usable parts & pieces or maybe a project. Price was too good to walk away from it.

  26. Only reason I saved this one is for some of the hard to find accessories it has. It's a '54 Crestline & has power seats, power windows and power steering. Dashboard & steering wheel are intact and in good shape as well. The car is too far gone to resurrect but has some nice donor pieces.

saved this off a scrappers trailer last Friday. I know it doesn't have a lot of value but I couldn't just let it go away. 003.JPG
