Malcom that’s awesome..it’s great how they used those fireplace walls to divide a room..ours divides our kitchen and living room and also acts as a hallway. I have an old Atomic Ranch magazine with a cool mid mod home in Nebraska. Are there a lot of em in that area?
Thanks! Omaha is certainly no Palm Springs, but we do have a small percentage of mid century modern homes here.
The tables are Carl Bissman. The china is Royal Chatham Soiree. All have been eBay or local antique mall finds.

Here's a Heywood Wakefield dining set that I had. Was bought new in 1955 by some relatives. Still had plastic over the seats when I got it, the upholstery was mint. There was some light and dark spots on the table top from stuff sitting on it for years in the sun. Didn't have a place for it in the house in Snohomish when I moved from Michigan so I reluctantly sold it.
This was a garage sale find in 2016, got it for $10 but it was beat. The people we bought it from family had bought it new and moved it around the country. I did a lot of repairs, there were raised strips on the doors that had an anodized aluminum strip. Most of the strips were damages, so I pulled them out. We decided to paint it. The handles are original. Found out it is a Dexel Profile series by designer John VanKoert.
Malcom...cool article in an old Atomic Ranch magazine about an area of Lincoln, Nebraska... And a feature on a cool home in Omaha Both in issue 23 Fall 2009 Atomic Ranch
Wim Rietveld for Gispen. Dutch furniture. Found the desk in a junk shop in Greensboro, NC, hiding in plain sight. Google him up, and you will see his other furniture as well.

@loveoftiki Thanks for posting those Atomic Ranch articles! I know Jon that has the home in Omaha and wrote that article... And 'Retro Larry' that he mentioned in it. Small world.
The greatest of all designs in the Modernist style when it comes to seating, the Shaw Walker armchair. I have a pair bought from the old Stanleyworks.
