    Some of those old ads are priceless...the What the heck are they thinking that go through my mind looking at them give me a chuckle...:D

    Her "Here's Looking at You..."

    This is reminiscent of that Telstar Kustom being built here
    one fine bit of art that's for sure...

    Hello,

    The most unusual Competition Coupe from Eldon Dye went through some transformations in the succeeding early years from 59-60. We caught him at three different tracks in So Cal. His (rust brown or maroon) bantam bodied coupe with the carburetor powered, Cad motor in 1959 at Lions was the first one we saw. It was fast and ran against all competitors during each event we saw.
    including Hampton vs Cagle

    It was always a hard driving, fast race car with Don Hampton (https://www.hamptonblowers.com/optin21235366) at the wheel. But it was most unusual as it was mentioned (@296ardun) that the Bantam Body was a pickup cab made into a coupe. It was a great looking car and it was fast. Check out the great lead resulting from a fast reaction time…

    At least it had the initial coloring of a turkey during Thanksgiving times. But, it sure wasn't a turkey when it came to winning its class and eliminator trophies. Besides, it was so fast the rear Moon Disc fell off before the races. Ha!
