Folks Of Interest does anyone listen to ALICE'S RESTAURANT on this day every year , or am I the only one ?

I have been doing this for a lot of years , and the more friends I loose along the way , it gets more special to me . HAPPY THANKSGIVING smoke some rubber with that turkey .

Yes heard it today at noon, have also been where it was years ago. I have also eaten at her 3rd restaurant in Lennox Ma. called "Alice at Avaloch" before she closed it.

Just listened to it for the first in a long time. Really enjoyed hearing it again.

Absolutely - Arlo is a particular favorite of my sister and I. I was at one of his concerts back in the 1970's in a small club in Atlanta (Southeast Music Hall) when he wasn't in the mood to sing any of his own stuff - particularly Alice's Restaurant - so he sang a whole bunch of Bob Dylan songs instead. It was great - because Arlo can actually sing but he has the same kind of nasal voice that Dylan had - the songs never sounded better - except when Peter Paul and Mary sang them....

 

Kid......every year. Actually Mrs Avater and I just saw him last Friday night in Hartford and he put on a nice show. Wish I had some 8x10 glossy photographs with circles and arrows on them.
