I saw it just sitting there by itself, mostly being ignored by the large crowd. It caught my eye and I was sure that it was Larry's car, but looking at it now there are some details that are different. But those could've been done by the current owner, who I believe is Bruce Meyers. In any case, a beautiful car, that if it isn't Larry's car, somebody was clearly copying from someone else.
Yeah, that's Larry's old coupe, I honestly believe this car will become a legendary icon in the future, it sure made a huge impact with many of us that knew Larry. BTW, what appeared different on the car? This photo is from 2016 with Bruce and his wife. Bruce Meyers brokered a deal with Larry for David Kelly to purchase the car and owned it for about 8 years, then Bruce brought the car from him. HRP
Yeah, it was. I've got a lot more photos of the event (I took over 500 shots), I'm still going through them, but I wanted to get these up, and ask about them. I've got more pics of the car, including some interior & dashboard shots, I'll include when I post up my pics from the show.
Just like a handful of that really good imported black licorice; I just want to take a bite out of that 3W that LARRY built. Miss you bubba!
Kickass. Larry LIVES baby !!! Gawd' I miss that guy. Him, his attitude, his car .... will forever rule !!!
If Larry was ever worried about the car's home, he needn't be. Bruce is just about the best caretaker anyone could ask for!
Of the cars Bruce has in his stable that seems to be high on the favorite list. For us it is a reminder of Larry and how much we miss his posts, wit humor and maybe a bit of sarcasm that caused us to love the man.
What a Beautiful Coupe, Larry certainly knew his stuff! Great pics, sure will be nice to see more of this Classic Coupe. Thanks, Carp.
He FINISHED a "Rolling Bones" style car rather than doing the faux patina look that they are so famous for. I like his SOOOOOOO much better because of that! I always thought It combined the best of the Doyel Gammel 3w coupe and the Doane Spencer roadster. 2 of the most iconic deuces ever. Ironicaly Mr. Meyer owns both!
