Might be time to figure out the seats. Would be best if they dropped down between the frame rails and the driveshaft.

You should do a tilt column, tweed seats and a small block.

IMG_20160530_165354140.jpg My next project, also a 3 window. Cowl, body and top all from different cars sitting on a custom frame. Right now it is just various pieces held together wire bailing wire and clamps. But when I finish my current project, I am going to start putting her together View attachment 4094930 View attachment 4094930

Had to go back and look. I thought you had said something about using sbc. Post 41.

Certainly won't be anything belly button or street rod about this car no matter what engine it recieves. Carry on please and pay no attention to us "tongue in cheek teasers", we are all anxious to see what's next.

To create this from the discarded parts you started with takes real vision, creativity, and talent. Some will only "see it" when it's completed, you obviously see it before you've created it!

Great build and nice lines looks sleek should cheat the wind nicely. Are you still planing on doing some Land Speed Racing when its ready? Reason I ask one critical deal is the driver bale out during inspection. The driver is wearing all the safety gear pretty hard to do even in a big driver compartment. If your not racing then its no big deal.

Building it so it will pass inspection for LSR will definitely remove the low buck side of this build. But it's done all the time.

Take it apart, it may not be as bad as it looks. A buddy and I took apart dozens of those engines in high school and shortly after looking for a couple blocks without cracks between the valve seats. Some of them had so damned much sludge in the valley you couldn't even see the springs. Some rust in the valve train doesn't mean much, those parts are everywhere. What do the cylinders look like?

This thing demands one of these: [IMG] Rolls-Royce Merlin engine.
Might prolong the project some for chassis & front end work, but it would be worth it.
Just dream'in some:rolleyes:, but man what a cool ride it is already:D and wouldn't this be a ride?

I have never been a T fan. I may be converted. The roof makes it work for me. Very nice work.

Flatheads are crazy. I've torn apart nasty ones that were good and clean ones that were cracked all to hell.
