Here is my late father racing.
The car is NZ Built with part of an American 35 Chevy 3 window coupe body

So it fits into the "George Washington's Axe" category.

    Hello,

Just across the Oregon/California border, was the location where I was born. Back in 1999, we took a long West Coast driving trip up to the Pacific Northwest and came back through the Eastern area of Oregon. That was a planned excursion to see Klamath Falls, Oregon. Why? Well within a few minutes across the border, we found/saw where I was born, a zillion years ago.

This area is fairly isolated, but the driving roads in this area are superb. There is an itch to put the “metal to the pedal”, but the surrounding scenery is so outstanding that just a normal cruising speed is all that one needs to be satisfied. The town of Klamath Falls is still in its “old days” stage when we saw it. It was a town in the middle of 4 National Forests that surrounded the whole area.

The lakes north and within the city make for a storybook location. Those lakes and the surrounding forests leading across the CA/Oregon border make for a great drive in the summer. The Klamath refuge, the Tulelake refuge and the Modoc National Forest all make up the cool surroundings of the Klamath Falls/Tulelake area.

The summer drive was pretty nice, but the winter weather drives are another story. The place where I was born just across the Oregon/California border? Structural housing remnants and a monument still exist. But, next door to a sad portion of American culture.

It hasn’t been just oval trackers who have experimented with motion lotions. Here Hank Westmoreland holds tight to a jug of special tire juice (red wine vinegar), while Don “Beachcomber” Johnson does a burnout

  18. That really is a shame, I was enjoying all of the pics of rods, customs and racing from other parts of the world. It was a nice break from the continually repeated pics on here.

Ok I guess it is time for a refresher on the rules here. you can find the rules for the site here
    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-h-a-m-b-rules-guidelines.44274/

also when this thread derailed a few years ago Ryan made a few guidelines for this thread only, as opposed to shutting it down.

Every pic must contain a car.
Every Pic must have been taken 1965 or before. this means if there is a 66 chevelle in the background of the photo, it is off topic.
Also this is NOT a motorcycle forum, Pics that have a motorcycle as the main focus of the shot (car in background) will be deleted

In the rules above (everyone has read them right?) #4 states 1965 and older american cars only.... there are some obvious exceptions for certain race cars, anglia drag cars etc.....
