I think a Mercury would have the name on the nose of the grille. My guess is '45 or earlier Ford.

 

It's a 1942 Ford DeLuxe

 

It's a '42 Ford.

 

Thanks, it seems to be missing the emblem on the nose of the hood.

 

If you look closely, you can see where that emblem was.
