A few pics of the body when i got it.
I bought the body from a friend, and i think he originally bought it in Sweden years before. When I got it, it was channeled 4", and it was a very crude channeling job. But it didnt matter as I wanted a highboy. 2014-08-30%2013.02.18.jpeg 2014-11-02%2015.47.15.jpeg 2014-11-02%2015.47.23.jpeg 2014-11-02%2015.47.55.jpeg

And then some more pictures of the bodywork and the allmost finished engine.

I build the new subrails myself, because money was quite tight at the time.

    The guy in the red shirt, is a very good friend, who lend me a helping hand with the chop. 2014-08-30%2011.59.19.jpeg 2014-08-30%2013.44.32.jpeg 2014-08-30%2014.20.31.jpeg 2014-10-25%2009.08.31.jpeg 2014-10-25%2009.08.56.jpeg 2014-11-08%2017.59.58.jpeg 2014-11-10%2006.17.54.jpeg 2014-11-20%2020.36.23.jpeg 2014-11-20%2020.36.35.jpeg 2014-11-20%2018.02.59.jpeg 2014-11-20%2020.35.43.jpeg 2014-11-27%2000.43.24.jpeg 2014-12-25%2016.54.34.jpeg 2015-02-26%2018.50.39.jpeg 2015-06-10%2006.23.31.jpeg IMG_20171026_064204.jpeg

super cool car. it's got the vibe of a car built by a guy who closed himself off from the world in his shop until it was done, and built exactly what he wanted. i think it's rather a special little car.

Great looking car, lots of fine details starting with the brake cross shaft between the frame horns. Bob

No. The bike in the pic with the chassis, is a 1954 Sunbeam S7.
And the bike visible in the pics with the finished car, is a 1952 Triumph Tiger 100 rigid.

Man that’s just great, thank you for the additional photos.

Is that bracket your using as a column support/brace something you bought or made? It looks familiar

It's somthing I made. Actually I made it a rule with the build, that I didnt buy any "hot rod parts". So anything is either old Ford parts, stock or modified, or entirely handbuild by yours truly. Ofcourse there are a few repro parts in there too, and a few parts from other makes. But I tried to keep it as much original parts as possible.

EDIT.: I think I may have misunderstood you. The collumn drop itself is a 35 Ford piece, but the support brace, that goes from the firewall to where the collumn drop attaches to the dash, is something I made.

And is that a column drop on the torque tube holding a Z bar for the E brake? Clever!

Edit: cool! Just looks like a brace I came across recently. Thanks for all the additional photos I love seeing how other people tackle the same problems we all have putting something together

The bracket around the torque tube is actually a big end from a con rod out of a ford B engine. A column drop wouldent hold up as its cast.
And your right, its for the hand brake.

Yeah it's a good way to be inspired to come up with a good solution for ones own problems.

Great little coupe, looks perfect, love the one off ideas like the ebrake set up. Love the front spreader bar, Im guessing the original mechanical brake bar? Great eye for detail.. less is definitely more :) If your getting any crit fromyour buddies they are either jealous or pulling your leg.. the car looks perfect, great chop great stance and a quality build ..

Im seeing the side repeaters, is that a requirement for vehicle reg in Denmark? I think you guys have the same issues as we do in the UK needing single vehicle approval.. there are other ways and means but SVA seems to be looking the way to go .. just a few extra hurdles to overcome :)

    Great wee hot rod :)
