Hot Rods Need 40 ford advise

    can I install a set of 39 pedals in a 40 ford with body on the frame ???

    I did it with body on, imagine body off is even easier

  7. A good question would why do you want to do this? The location of the clutch lever is different, is that what you are taking advantage of? Maybe just availability?

    Yes it is the lever location I am after. ! And thanks for everyone's help.

    I'm not positive, but I think somewhere in the year switcheroo the opening in the X member changed. You might need to clearance the X a little, but it should be obvious when you put the pedals through.
     
  10. This is a very common swap when we changed to Fork operated clutch (as in Chevy) bellhousing. Turn the through shaft 180* and it was just a short rod to the fork to pull instead of push.
