Technical What did you do today?

Seems that I am doing a boat load of things , except working on the 39
The daylight savings thing is messing with the old man brain
But today I drove to get this
Figure to open up holes in the floor board, hoping it will be neater then a hole saw
To allow me to bolt down the floor to the Xmember
It may or not distort the Pannel, will try on a scrap of 18g and see what happens
Another hobby, Ham radio is distracting me also

Got to get this cleared up too
Just sometimes it doesn’t seem I am making progress
But I know I am , just wish it was faster
Looks like the rest of you are,

Fixed the turn signals and new heater control valve in 64 Eldo

 

picked up an 8ba . open drive banjo , f1 pedals , complete front w/juice and steering box and a bunch of exhaust pipe.

Pulled the gas tank on my roadster for repair. Repaired tail light bracket as well. My wife baked cookies! I am waiting for them to be iced.

 

Checked my Anti Freeze and I'm now ready for the winter.

 

All very important tasks.

 

Cleaned up a little and worked on my 38. I hate leaving a mess in the shop.

 

That's not even close to being organized...you could perform surgery in there...

 

Finished up a split back seat frame for Fred’s 37 Ford panel

Cleaned the first layer of crap off the caddy engine.

 

Started painting my Willy's pick-up!

 

Put fresh oil and filter in '34 pickup for winter storage. Also continued building doors for roadster project.

Drained the gear oil out of my transmission and then fished this out with a magnet.

 

Put a new battery in my '41 Ford, now it won't start, just my luck.

 

took about a 2 hour ride over to Pleasanton, CA Goodguys show - had a good turn out

 

Finished sorting out and measuring my engine, now I'll start on my Christmas wish list.

 

Went to El Mirage dry lake (SCTA) run.

 

This guy was selling moonshine in mason jars. I don't know if you were supposed to drink it or put it in your tank

 

I don't think the rider used this to get to and from work every day

3 hour run from interstate
I believe 500 car attended
spent 4 days there

Sadly, Paramount Movie Ranch burned down in the Malibu fire.

 

I'll give this a shot since I saw a couple motorcycle pictures. I mocked up the blower and carburetor on my 1960 Triumph drag bike project. I adapted a Holley bowl onto an S&S Super B carburetor, used a blower from a Subaru that has a close to period correct look, and got things mocked into place. When the bikes finished it will set next to our Dragster.

 

I took the missus to breakfast and then stopped by the Kansas City Vietnam Veterans memorial. Today was a good day to visit and talk with my old buddies.

Now I'm in the early stages of drinking myself stupid.

 

Damn , you guys had all kinds of fun today. I had to rake leaves in my yard all day.

 

Gettin the rot out of my 27T.
