I picked up this '41 Chevy Master Deluxe sedan today, I saw it last week and fell in love. The paperwork that came with it shows that it was built down by Seattle back in the 2003-2006 time-frame. The original registration (?) says that the car started out in Sturgis, SD (an area that I've spent some time in on two wheels). It looks almost completely stock but it's not totally traditional underneath- M II front suspension, r&p steering with a 283/TH350 combo. The stance is just right, down a bit in front but not too low overall. It appears to have been sitting awhile but aside from a few small issues to iron out, it is as close to turn-key as I've ever been able to lay hands on. left side by brokedownbiker posted Nov 6, 2018 at 3:29 PM right front by brokedownbiker posted Nov 6, 2018 at 3:29 PM right side by brokedownbiker posted Nov 6, 2018 at 3:29 PM right rear by brokedownbiker posted Nov 6, 2018 at 3:29 PM front end by brokedownbiker posted Nov 6, 2018 at 3:29 PM
A great looking mild custom. I wouldn't chop that sedan, in fact the onliest thing I'd do would be lose the visor.
Hello B, That is one nice Chevy sedan. Since the car came with the visor, there are some hot cruising days in the Pacific Northwest and it could come in handy. If it were So Cal, there are plenty of those old Chevy sedans and even some old Fords that have the visor. That makes the car stand out in this neck of the woods. But, of course, there are plenty of low riders in So Cal that have those visors and you could get lumped together in that show car spectrum. Hey, even the (late) owner of one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants in Orange County drove a cool looking black sedan with a visor. It just fit the 50s-60s look of cruising So Cal. It is a cool sedan and probably would look more streamlined without the visor. But, if it is a sector of the 50s that you want to showcase, the visor stays. IMHO. Have fun driving that cool Chevy all over the place... Jnaki
Looks good, it does sit right. The 283 will move it down the road, and should still get decent mileage. What rear end is in it?
Actually I'm a sucker for bright colored saddle blankets- but not just tossed over the seats- I'm going to have an upholsterer buddy actually sew up some new seat covers out of them with leather panels inlaid.
DO NOT LOOSE the visor. I drove my 48 Buick (with a visor) for some time then sold it. Next time I saw it, it looked naked, nude, ugly, the idiot had removed the visor. I have pic's if you want to see. (Don't want to but in on the op's post with them).
