Last Thursday I went to Temples Auto Parts in Batesburg, S.C.....the snakes are pretty well down for the winter, but to play it safe I stayed out of the inside of the cars (just in case)….had a great day...picked up some parts....took a bunch of pictures....enjoy them...
more pics.....These are the last ones....PLEASE do not contact me for any info....call them-1-800-922-7311
Man, that’s a lot of good tin. I wish it was closer to me. I’m loving this Falcons and the Charger fastback. r Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
58 Bonneville and those 58 Olds, ooh la la. Love the 4 dr blue merc, plus the 50 and 51. Some good pieces for building a custom, too. Too bad about the condition of most of the cars, but at least they're still out there. Thanks for posting.
Yep....rare Bonnie right there.....and that Olds Fiesta wagon still has some to give....FYI those 42/48 GM chrome fender strips bring some good money....they were an option back then.....thanks for sharing and taking pic's and posting....that's a neat yard right there !
Cool pics, thanks for sharing. If I were there, I would grab those Packard fender spears and spend the rest of the time picking those two Mercs clean. The coupe might even be worth building.
Great stuff!!! All our good junk yards have all but disappeared around here. If I lived near this place me and the owner would be best friends
Thanks @chevsotolac for doing the walk and sharing the goods...heck that would be my idea of a great days exercise...
I was surprised by how many convertibles where in the yard...ruff guess-80-100...most are ruff but they are there....the ground is sandy-so its great exercise walking around....during the warm weather there are rattle snakes, bees, wasp, poison ivy....now its pickers....
The hood on that 56 Chevy Belair Coupe looks to be in very good shape. They are one of the few Tri5 Chevy body parts not reproduced. The stainless is worth some good dough as well.
Rare one ! with a little work.... Looking at all those vehicles makes one think of all the tooling that went into producing them.
""during the warm weather there are rattle snakes, bees, wasp, poison ivy....""... Sounds like home !!...
I called today, it is raining so they aren`t able to check on parts to give prices. Will call back tomorrow. Thanks again for the pic`s.
Great tour! Thanks for sharing them. Reminds me of yards we had in Pa. in the 70’s, except less rust on these!
I called and got a price quote and agreed. Then they told me they do not ship parts. Back on the hunt.
