Not really...all of us on this thread have won, in my mind...even a single pic can really mean something to a certain viewer.

I do finally know why I put a lot of effort into the picture posts over the last year...I am trying to get though (with a subliminal message) to others...to get out in your area whenever even remotely possible...and a new world is then created for you.

Here in Arizona, the only thing that changes color in the fall are the license plates with the influx of snow birds.

Actually, in the high country around Flagstaff, there are tons of maple trees, and the fall color change is quite beautiful.

No fall leaves but still fall scenes.

Sorry Frank and shutter speed for the slow response and thank you for asking. Actually those wheels are ‘50s vintage Buick wires. Had a hard time finding hubcaps that did not say “Buick” then realized Cragar SS caps have the same diameter so figured a way to mount them from behind. (Hey that doesn’t sound so good, but you know what I mean). Funny thing is Model A caps would work but imho did not look good.

Headed to Rockville yesterday and stopped on the way back. It’s cooling off and maybe I’ll get some glass in the car this winter.

    I love fall.

    Nice “barn find” there!
Looks to be a working tobacco shed but imagine how many cars it could hold

You are correct, it’s an active broad leaf tobacco barn. I’ll bet I pass about 40 - 50 working barns on my way to work.

Even the barn I store my overflow parts in is an old tobacco barn converted to garages, each bay is 20x40 feet.

This one is (was :( ) in Cliffs neck of the woods:

    DSCN2059.JPG

This one was full of antique cars, trucks, and the owners sons entire collection of 30 Farmall tractors, as well as tons of parts. They heard "the loudest lightning bolt in their lives", the son lives nearby and drove over "just in case it hit his Dads place", he saw nothing at first, then opened one end door. He said it blew a hole the size of a swimming pool through 4 layers of asphalt shingles over the original cedar shingles, and one center upright post beam was engulfed from top to bottom. The bolt shook loose a century's worth of dust in the old cedar, and that dust caught fire from front to back in the 180 foot long barn. Not one thing could be driven out. The owners 73 year old wife also lost the 1925 Star pickup that he got from me, it was her favorite car to drive around the farm shows they attend.

They used the huge payloader to knock down a fence row of tall pine trees, so the metal barn could be saved. All the FD could do is keep water on the nearby steel Morton building that is also full. Even cars/trucks in-between both buildings were burned up.
