    The overhead shot was taken at the hotel from the second story balcony, they had pulled the engine with a chainfall attached to the balcony and rebuilt it in the room using the bathtub for the parts washer..:D

    this is why I take as many pics as I can at events today. think how cool it would be if your pop had taken 100 pictures everywhere he went? that would be something.

    Very cool pics. I raced at Cecil County Dragway, Rising Sun, MD, once. It don't look like that anymore.

    Mr. C was owned by Joe Phipps. The engines were built and it was driven by Fred Forkner. Fred owned Atlantic Speed Center in Wilmington, De.
